Children’s Law Center’s Hosts Annual Breakfast for Donors, Friends

The Children’s Law Center held its fourth annual breakfast at Mile High Station on Wednesday, October 4, raising over $30,000 net to continue its vital mission.

The breakfast, titled Quiche and Kids, hosted 220 guests, including United States Attorney for the District of Colorado John Walsh, Minority Leader Representative Mark Ferrandino and Boulder District Attorney Stan Garnett. “We are humbled by the community's continued support,” said Stephanie Villafuerte, executive director of the Children’s Law Center. “We are in awe and inspired by the encouragement of our donors at our annual breakfast.”

The highlight of the morning was an inspirational speech by Da'Vion, former child served by the Children’s Law Center. Da'Vion spoke of his experiences in the child protection system with the assistance, support and guidance of the Children’s Law Center. Carla Dore, board president, Villafuerte and Stacy Carpenter, board member, offered insights and perspective on the injustices faced by the children we serve.
