Biography

Katie began her employment with RMCLC in May 2019. She works in collaboration with staff attorneys in the various service areas to bring a clinical perspective to the legal work. Katie has worked in the field of child welfare since 1997 after receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from The University of Central Missouri. After moving with her family from Kansas City, MO to Westminster, CO in 2000, she spent time at home with her children until 2003.  Katie began her work as a foster-adoption worker for Boulder County Housing and Human Services from 2003 to 2011. She left Boulder County and completed her Master’s degree in Social Work at The University of Denver in 2012. Katie most recently worked as an advocate supervisor for Denver CASA from 2016 to 2018.
