Our organization has been around for more than three decades and have dedicated ourselves to advocating for Colorado’s abused and neglected children. We are passionate legal and social work professionals with expertise in child welfare law.
The best way to keep children safe is to prevent abuse from occurring in the first place. The Children’s Law Center’s public policy and appellate programs are at the forefront of creating appropriate legislation and standards to assist in preventing child abuse. We work across systems including courts, public policy and legislative arenas to ensure that Colorado’s most vulnerable children have a voice.
In Colorado there are over 10,000 children who have been removed from their homes because they have been abused or neglected. These children are in need of safe homes, mental health care and educational services. The Children’s Law Center protects them by making sure they get the services they deserve to heal from the trauma they have suffered. We do all this with unbridled dedication and compassion.
All children deserve a future. We believe that a child’s abusive past does not have to define them. The Children’s Law Center prepares children for life after the abuse has occurred. Our specialists work to give children the childhoods they deserve by finding resources for extra-curricular activities, educational services and needed life skills.
I love the Child Law Center! Sed ut perspiciatis unde omnis iste natus error sit voluptatem accusantium doloremque laudantium, totam rem aperiam, eaque ipsa quae ab illo inventore veritatis.
